Engineered for the Road: The Choice of Hardware
To ensure maximum uptime and operational ease, Eemits carefully selected a robust combination of handheld and vehicle-mounted hardware tailored specifically to long-haul logistics. Rather than a capital-heavy expenditure, these devices are provided via a flexible, managed Mobile Hardware Rental and SaaS contract, ensuring full maintenance, regular software-as-a-service updates, and predictable operating costs.
The Handheld Device: Telox TE320 Smart LTE Handheld
For drivers requiring communication both inside and outside the vehicle, the Telox TE320 was deployed.
This ruggedised Android-based PoC smart device blends the functionality of an industrial PDA with the simplicity of a traditional two-way radio. Featuring an ultra-loud 3W speaker for noisy environments, dual-SIM network roaming capabilities, and a heavy-duty IP67 water and dustproof chassis, it is built to survive a 1.5-meter drop. Crucially for worker welfare, it includes dedicated, physical PTT and emergency SOS buttons, allowing drivers to immediately signal the base in an instant.
The In-Vehicle Solution: M6 Series Mobile LTE Radio
Permanently installed within the vehicle cabs, the M6 Mobile PoC units serve as the secondary, stable communication hub for drivers on long transit routes. Running on widespread 4G LTE and 3G networks, the M6 series provides an unlimited communication range backed by global positioning (GPS/GLONASS) for constant vehicle tracking. This ensure dispatcher teams at the main operating base retain absolute, real-time visibility over high-value cargo locations at all times.
